LGN365 has taken the fitness world by storm. It purports to be the complete Guide to Looking Good Naked. It is a program based on body recomposition; meaning reshaping your body. Building muscle, and losing fat. But does it live up to these claims? Let’s take a look.
THE MAN BEHIND IT
JC Deen is a well-respected fitness pro that has been featured in renowned places such as WannaBeBig.com, Bodybuilding.com, and my favorite, the Alan Aragon Research Review. He is respected by many in the industry because of his no nonsense approach, and his resistance to follow the crowd when it comes to the latest and greatest diet & workout trends. He studies some of the most well respected in the industry and has years of practical experience putting his knowledge into practice. You can check out the testimonials on his site with raving reviews. Suffice it to say JC Deen knows his stuff.
Within the LGN365 program you will find the following:
- Getting Started Manual
- Fat Loss Manual
- Hypertrophy Manual
- Recipe Handbook
- Training Guide
- Multiple Calculators
- Printable Workouts
Let’s review each section one by one.
Within the getting started manual, JC discusses some of his trials that he experienced while weight training. He gives you a thorough explanation of why he wrote this system. He talks about frustration when he was getting started with weight training. He felt like many of you probably have. There is so many different programs out there, which is the right one? How should you train? How should you eat? Is there only one way? Fortunately JC has went through all the growing pains so you don’t have to. He has been in your shoes. He wanted a better body and went to figuring it out himself. Finally, years after he started, he found the ‘secret’.
He goes on and explains the power of the mind, which I fully agree with 100%. You have to want it inside. You have to have the determination to stick through it when it gets tough. He talks about keeping things in perspective and remembering the big picture. Great advice!
He goes on and talks about some strength training philosophy’s and gives you instructions on the weight lifting part of the program. Ever wonder about different strength training methods or what is most effective? JC covers it. What about how fast you should lift the weights? He covers that too. Frequency of training? Yep, that’s covered as well.
He has a very in-depth section on nutrition. How do you calculate your calories? Yes he covers it. Where should you calories come from? Yes, covers that too. What you can eat? Yes. When to eat? Yes. Sample meal plan? Of course. This section alone could be packaged and sold as its own eBook, and I would gladly pay for it! He puts his years of experience to paper and spills the beans on techniques that he has used to get super ripped. Don’t skip over this section!
Finally, he ends talking about supplements. Unfortunately the supplement industry has made it seem as if supplements are a shortcut that will get you to your goal. It couldn’t be further from the truth. He makes recommendations based on what he believes works from his experience and years of study.
FAT LOSS MANUAL
One thing I really like about JC is that he uses common sense. All over the internet you will read about how this diet is best for fat loss, or you need to eat your carbs and protein at a certain time in order to lose fat. JC cuts to the chase and tells you what is most important then he goes into the why behind it.
His strategies that he uses for fat loss and muscle gain/retention are very similar to the ones that I have used after learning them through my own trial and error and years of study. In my opinion his body recomposition methods are the best out there.
He uses backs up his methods by not only referencing his own experience and that of his clients, but with scientific studies as well.
If you need are a novice and need to be told exactly what to do, you are in luck. JC does exactly that. The most important thing to know when trying to lose weight is how many calories you should take. JC tells you how to calculate that all with the goal of losing fat, and truly transforming your body.
The fat loss manual also includes specific instructions on the type of workout program to include. He covers it all. The theory behind why he uses a particular program, amount of sets, reps, and how often to train. He even gives you a twelve week workout that you can follow, which will allow you to build that muscled, chiseled, lean, defined look you are looking for.
I’ve found this type of instructions, especially when just starting out is extremely effective. You may be confused on what exactly to do, but JC explains it step by step.
This is my favorite section of the book. JC gives specific recommendations again and walks you through how to calculate calories, and when and how to make adjustments. This is what I love about his advice, he recommends trying it out and seeing how your body reacts. You see the body isn’t a textbook, each person reacts slightly different to training and nutrition programs. Will his programs work great for most people? Absolutely. But, a small amount of tweaking by that individual, once they have learned their body may help get even better results. So, listen to your body!
What do most people want when beginning to work out? Well guys anyway want size and strength. Need to know the optimal rep range? JC covers it. Need to know the how much cardio to do when trying to gain muscle? That’s covered to. Every question you have about gaining mass and getting ripped is in here.
He gives you three different training programs that build upon each other. The 41 pages in this section are stuffed full of golden nuggets that will help you understand why and how you need to workout.
In the training guide JC goes over his training techniques a bit more. He helps you understand how to determine the weight that you need to use, which is always a challenge to know when starting out. He makes recommendations on if you need to go to failure or not, which is the point where you can’t physically lift the weight anymore.
JC, like me, is a believer in progression. You need to be moving up in weight or in reps in order to get the muscle growth that you want. It is absolutely essential in order to make strength and gains in muscle size (progression).
He goes into more detail about the program which is excellent, especially for somebody just getting started. What is really great though is he gives you alternatives in the event that one of his techniques (super-sets) won’t work in your gym.
There are some movements that are harder to perform for some people. It can be a challenge due to length of limbs, mobility, flexibility or hand eye coordination. JC gives recommendations for alternative lifts if you happen to fall into this category.
JC is an advocate of warming up before lifting. He gives specific recommendations on what you should do to adequately warm up, and gives a funny analogy to help you understand the importance of it.
After reading the training guide, you’ll be much more educated on what you need to do in the weight room to see the results you have always envisoned.
Yes, there’s more! LOL. This program is so full of value, it’s ridiculous. The recipe guide that is included is complete than any recipe guide I have ever seen. Not only does it include recipes, but he explains why he included that recipe as well as modifications in case your meal doesn’t turn out like you want it. Do you need more fat, less fat, more carbs, less carbs to hit your macronutrient goal? There is tips in there as well on how you can make minor adjustments to you can ensure you are hitting your macros.
You would think that would be enough. After all it is extremely complete and has more than enough of what you need to hit your goals. Nope, there is more….
JC makes it super easy to figure out your numbers. Just enter your info in on his calculators and you’ll know how many calories to take, carbs, protein, fats, etc. Not only will you know that but you’ll have a good starting point as far as the amount of weight you should be lifting. He also includes some printable workouts for you to print off and take to the gym.
Now you have to understand, I am not one to ‘drink the Kool-Aid’. I have certain people in the industry that I follow and respect. Alan Aragon, Derek Charlebois, Aram Hamparian, Tom Venuto, Will Brink, and Lyle McDonald. Out of the hundreds or thousands of ‘experts’ out there that is a pretty short list. Well, after reading JC’s program I can add him to that list. JC knows his stuff and is a straight shooter.
If you want to get in shape, lose the fat, and look better naked, I can think of no better program that will help you do that than LGN365. Check it out today, you won’t regret it.
